DESCRIPTION

Snapdragon ‘Snapshot Coral Bicolor’ is an early-flowering dwarf variety with full spikes of coral-pink and creamy-white bicoloured blooms. Bushy, strongly branching plants remain compact at around 25 cm tall, making them perfect for pots, window boxes, edging and the front of borders. The closely spaced flowers create a remarkably full display and appear uniformly during cool spring and autumn weather. Lightly fragrant and attractive to bees, this charming variety brings plenty of colour without taking up much space.

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

Sow snapdragon seeds in trays 8–10 weeks before planting out. Surface sow onto moist seed-starting compost, gently press into place and do not cover, as the seeds need light to germinate. Keep at 18-21°C and maintain even moisture without waterlogging. Germination usually takes 7–14 days.

Once seedlings emerge, move them to a bright, cooler position. Transplant when they have 2-3 true leaves, then harden off before planting 20-30 cm apart in fertile, well-drained soil. Grow in full sun or partial shade and water regularly at the base. Deadhead faded blooms to encourage continued flowering.

In Mediterranean climates, sow from late summer through autumn for winter and spring flowers, or in late winter for spring flowering. Some afternoon shade is beneficial when temperatures become hot.
